2 min read

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published the responses received to the Consultation Paper on access, aggregation and comparison of TR data.

ESMA had conducted the consultation, which closed on 1 February, since the entry into force of the standards and the start of the reporting obligation, ESMA has worked on ensuring the consistent application of EMIR and its RTS on data access, and aggregation and comparison of data. The practical implementation of such RTS highlighted particular instances where improvements could usefully be made to allow the authorities to better fulfil the irrespective responsibilities and mandates, in particular with respect to the monitoring of systemic risk and increased OTC derivatives transparency.
