2 min read

BaFin, the German financial regulatory authority, has today published its latest issue of the BaFin Journal, its monthly bulletin that contains technical articles, interviews and reports on important national and international regulatory issues as well as the official announcements of insurance supervision.

The June 2016 issue amongst other topics focuses on BaFin’s recently published General Administrative Act to ensure legal certainty for netting agreements in the scope of German insolvency law. The Journal also contains an interview with the new Executive Director, Beatrice Freiwald, and an in-depth article on new consumer rights, such as basic bank accounts, assistance in moving an account and fee transparency. Furthermore, it provides an overview of recent regulatory developments on several topics, including whistleblowing, anti-money laundering, and high frequency trading (HFT).

The journal has been published (in German) on the BaFin website and can be found here.
